Pacifica Roleplay Map Act (1440AH)
Section 1. On the need of a Roleplay Map
(1) It would be convenient for the roleplayers of Pacifica to be able to have a visual representation of their geographic location and size for various reasons.
(2) It would be convenient for the roleplayers of Pacifica to be able to have a visual representation of other's geographic location and size for various reasons.
(3) Roleplayers of Pacifica previously expressed their wishes to be represented on a map by making claims in the Discord.
Section 2. The Specifications of the Roleplay Map
(1) The Roleplay Map shall have an upper limit in nation sizes specified by the mapper.
(2) The Roleplay Map shall be of a decent size so that at least 12 people may make maximum sized claims without fear of crowding or lack of open space.
Section 3. The Duties of the Mapper
(1) The Mapper has the duty of providing the roleplayers of Pacifica with a map that they may claim territory on for themselves.
(2) The Mapper has the duty of upholding all articles in Section 2 of this Act.
(3) The Mapper has the duty of accepting or rejecting claims.
(3A) The Mapper must take no longer than four days in accepting or rejecting a claim made in the forum thread, and in modifying the map to meet current standards. (see Sections 5 and 6)
(3B) The Mapper must take no longer than four days in removing nations that have been removed from or left the region.
(4) The Mapper has the duty of acting impartially in managing the map and claims.
(5) The Mapper has the duty of creating the map thread. (See Section 6, and Article 5.(1).)
Section 4. The Rights of the Mapper
(1) The Mapper has the right to edit the map how he wishes, so long as it does not greatly inconvenience approved claimants.
(2) The Mapper has the right to make suggestions and give advice to all claimants on matters relating to their claim.
(3) The Mapper has the right to request the use of his provided map be discontinued upon his retirement or removal from office.
(3A) Article 3.(3) shall only apply if the map was the original work of the mapper, and not copied from another region or passed down by a former mapper of Pacifica.
Section 5. Where Claims may be made, and previously existing Claims
(1) Under this act, a forum thread shall be made where the people of Pacifica will be able to put claims on the territories of the Roleplay Map. (See Section 6)
(2) All claims made before the passing of this act are grandfathered in and considered valid.
(2A) All claims made before the passing of this act shall be specified in the forum thread made under Article 5.(1) of this act.
Section 6. The Specifications and Rules of the Forum Thread
(1) The Forum Thread shall be called The Official Roleplay Map of Pacifica.
(2) The first post of the Forum Thread shall contain an image displaying the current map of Pacifica, instructions on how to make a claim, and any limitations on claims (e.g. maximum nation size).
(3) Nations making claims must specify the territory and desired color of their claim for it to be considered valid.
(3A) Nations making claims must not exceed the maximum nation size for their claim for it to be considered valid. (See Articles 2.(1), 2.(2), and 6.(2).)
