Hitting the Ground Running: Start of Term Address from Minister Constie
Hello my fellow Pacificans!
It is an honor to be selected as the first Minister for Community Affairs and Culture, and I am looking forward to working with the Prime Minister, my fellow Minister Ham, and all of you on projects that will help us develop our identity. It is with that subject that I will put forward the Ministry’s plans for the upcoming term.
Firstly, I am proud to announce that we will shortly begin development on The Pacifica Times, our own newspaper! I know that this community is full of talented writers, and I cannot wait to start churning out what will soon be among the best newspapers on NationStates. With that announcement, I will also be looking for a Assistant Minister for Media, who will be tasked with taking the reigns of the newspaper and ensuring that the operation is smoothly organized.
Next, we will be starting a regional map and role play, to let everyone’s imagination run wild. The Roleplay will contain “canons” or universes that will allow us to branch out and not be stuck with a roleplay that some people may not wish to participate in. With this, I will also be looking for an Assistant Minister for Roleplay to coordinate this ministry, and RP Moderators to ensure that the rules of the RPs are followed.
Lastly, we will soon be holding a festival to celebrate the formation of the New Republic. I am seeking to make this festival Sci-Fi themed, as it seems like a number of people here are fans of all kinds of sci-fi shows and movies! Fear not, however, as this will not be the only festival we will hold. We will be holding all sorts of events, and every day in Pacifica will be exciting. For this, we will have an Assistant Minister for Events to assist with planning and execution.
